VFC Serving Up New Chick*n Tenders at Two US Expos

The new Chick*n Tenders from vegan fried chicken brand VFC will be on display at two upcoming expos: Plant Based World Expo in New York City and Natural Products Expo East 2022 in Philadelphia.

VFC will serve food at the Natural Products exhibition that includes the Chick*n tenders, which are touted as being excellent for dipping and dunking. The company will also participate in Plant Based World Expo, where it will have one of the largest stands.

Prior to this year’s Plant Based World Expo, where interest in the company was so tremendous that the company chose to substantially accelerate its US expansion plans, VFC attended the event last year. After receiving $10.3 million in funding, the brand debuted in the US last September.

Going global

VFC was created in the UK, where it quickly became available at Tesco and Sainsbury’s and had “unprecedented” success after its launch in December 2020. By March 2021, VFC had expanded to Spain and was attracting distributors from all over the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia.

“Our recent poll revealed that more than two thirds of people would be willing to trade meat from animals for plant-based meat if it tasted as good. That’s very encouraging for our mission. Already, we’ve spared 60,000 birds but, as that is just the number of animals crammed inside two sheds, we have a long way to go. Still, we have an incredibly driven team, all 100% committed to doing good in this world, and we are determined to play our part in ending the suffering of animals in factory farms,” stated Adam Lyons, VFC co-founder, chef and COO.

The Plant Based World Expo will be held on September 8 and 9, and VFC will sponsor stand 303. From September 28 to October 1 at Natural Products Expo East, the company will also be present at exhibit 1456.
