Vegans in the United Kingdom are in for a treat this spring and summer, with an ever-growing list of plant-based activities planned.
The most recent news comes from the south. The renowned Portsmouth Vegan Festival, which will include over 100 vendors, will return to the city next month. Plant-based cuisine, cruelty-free toiletries, clothing, shoes, pet goods, and more will be available to visitors.
The event will include the “best of the vegan lifestyle,” according to organizers. “Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or looking to go vegan, this event has everything you could possibly need all under one roof,” they said.
Visitors to the event will be able to sample a wide range of cuisines, with Caribbean caterer Brownins Food, Greek Vegan Deli, and House of Habesha – famed for genuine Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine – among the confirmed retailers.
Attendees may also pursue a varied choice of vegan goods, like Mollie and Sky candles and Vegan Upcycled Craft eco-friendly fashion accessories.
The Mountbatten Centre will host the Portsmouth Vegan Festival on Saturday, May 14. It will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is £4 for adults and free for children under the age of 16.
For £15, you can get a VIP ticket that includes fast track access and a vegan goody bag.

The Portsmouth Vegan Festival is one of a number of plant-based events set to take place in the United Kingdom this year. In the coming weeks, Manchester’s Northern Festival and Bath Vegan Festival will take place, followed by the much-anticipated return of Vegan Campout in July.
