Beyond Meat, the leading plant-based meat company, has announced that its Beyond Chicken Tenders will be available in 8,000 additional retail locations across the United States, dramatically boosting the product’s availability.
The Beyond tenders are already available in select Albertsons, CVS, Sprouts, and Whole Foods Market locations around the country, and will be available at all Kroger-owned grocery stores in April. The company claims that its plant-based meats will be more accessible than ever before as a result of its recent expansion.
Star-Studded Chicken
Beyond Chicken Tenders are made from protein-rich faba beans and claim to have the same crispy breading and juicy taste as regular chicken. The tenders have half the saturated fat of the popular traditional brand of breaded chicken nuggets and are free of cholesterol, antibiotics, and hormones. The tenders are also pre-cooked and may be heated in the air fryer, microwave, or oven. The product won the coveted FABI Food & Beverage award in 2021 for its flavor and quality.
Following a successful food service debut, Beyond’s chicken tenders made its retail debut in 2021 at Walmart, Giant Food, ShopRite, and other major US supermarket chains. The announcement is the company’s latest alternative poultry triumph, as it has already developed vegan chicken products for a variety of companies, including orange chicken for Panda Express, nuggets for Canada’s A&W restaurants, and, most notably, Beyond Fried Chicken for KFC.
