Pure Soul was born the same night founder Jamie went vegan and had no idea what she was going to eat. What if someone wanted a burger? Or some fried chicken? But just didn’t want to have it come from an animal? After a lot of research and countless recipe attempts, she knew a 100% vegan comfort food eatery was not only possible it was desperately needed.

After entering Calling All Dreamers on a whim, Jamie was selected as one of the semi-finalists. Now although she didn't win, that didn't deter her from making her Pure Soul dream a reality. Developers, vegan brands and even other local business owners reached out and expressed a desire to see Pure Soul open its doors in Sacramento.

Our concept is to offer the recognizable comfort foods we crave as well as healthier plant-based options that would fool even the most skeptic non-vegan. We feel Sacramento needs to be able to get their yummy plant-based eats every day!

Jamie has always been an empathetic soul and after becoming vegan those traits only grew and are the driving force behind Pure Soul. Determined to see this world filled with equality, respect and love for all are the pure intentions she has to do her part in making this happen.
