Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kholi have recently joined up as investors and brand ambassadors with plant-based company Blue Tribe Foods.
Sandeep Singh and Nikki Arora Singh launched the Mumbai-based company, which is one of India’s leaders in the plant-based meat sector, giving customers a wide choice of regional plant-based pleasures like momos, keema, and sausages.
Their Video Statement
The famous pair are outspoken proponents of a cruelty-free and environmentally friendly lifestyle, and they were quick to share the news with their combined 240 million Instagram followers.
Sharma and Kholi noted in a joint video statement that we all have the capacity to safeguard our world, and that Blue Tribe Foods provides a “great way to relish the experience of eating meat, all without leaving an impact on the planet.”
Sharma opens the Instagram video by noting that she and her husband are continually searching for ways to reduce their influence on the environment, in order to assist future generations live in a better world.
Climate Change Concerns
The couple explained that they choose to live a meat-free lifestyle not just because they care about animals, but also because they acknowledge the environmental effect of meat consumption.
To emphasize the importance of flavor in their choice to join with Blue Tribe, Kholi points out that they are both foodies who miss the taste of meat on occasion.
Sharma then revealed his work with Blue Tribe Foods, which aims to let customers eat “meat” in a more environmentally responsible and fulfilling way.
Blue Tribe Foods
Blue Tribe is one of a group of companies in India who are working hard to reimagine meat as a whole. GoodDot, Veggie Camp, and Imagine Meats, a plant-based cuisine company founded by Bollywood couple Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh, are among them.
Voices like Kholi’s and Sharma’s are likely to inspire the next generation of sustainable food start-ups in India as this fast-growing industry continues to expand.
Alternative proteins are a rising area that is projected to exhibit considerable momentum in the next few years as India’s plant-based economy grows.
