Vegan Media Market, a freelancing marketplace, assists in connecting vegan companies with their counterparts, vegan freelancers.
The marketplace is meant to compete with websites like Fiverr, Upwork, and Guru. It includes a list of graphic designers, virtual assistants, social media managers, web developers, and photographers.
Businesses can use Vegan Media Market for free; freelancers must pay a small commission. There is no cost for freelancers to submit listings, which is a big discount from the commission fees levied by websites like Upwork.
Business resources for vegans
Vegan Media Market is the latest addition to a growing list of tools designed especially for vegan enterprises, including publications, meetups, crowdfunding websites, and pitching competitions. Entrepreneur Sam Tucker, who previously launched the vegan digital marketing firm Creative Compass, founded the market place. After learning that no one had created a platform of this kind particularly for vegan enterprises, he made the decision to start Vegan Media Market.
“Almost every vegan freelancer I know would prefer to work with vegan businesses, and nearly every vegan business owner I know wishes they could find more vegan freelancers… It’s always been really hard for vegan freelancers and vegan business owners to find each other on any of the traditional freelance marketplaces, so I started to wonder why there wasn’t another platform dedicated to connecting them,” said Tucker.
“I thought, ‘Why not build it myself?’ I had already built an extensive network of both vegan freelancers and vegan business owners through my work with Creative Compass, plus my team had all of the website design and development skills needed to make it a reality.”
“Keeping the commission rate as low as possible was important for us in order to support the growth of the vegan sector, and the vegan movement as a whole,” he added.
